David Eisenhower Teen Challenge Graduate

When I first entered into Teen Challenge I was an emotional wreck and heavily addicted to prescription pain medication. I was suicidal and deeply depressed and not quite sure what I was doing, I just knew I needed help. I came in on a Friday badly withdrawing and on Sunday morning at church I cried out to the LORD and He heard my prayer. “Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry come to you! Do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress!.. (Psalm 102:1-2 ESV) I was healed of physical withdrawal that day and soon after I rededicated my life to the Lord. I grew up in a Christian home, but I never had a personal relationship with Jesus. In Teen Challenge I learned how to cultivate a growing relationship with Him and maintain a healthy sober life. I graduated Teen Challenge in September of 2012 and chose to do a six month internship where the Lord solidified the call He had put on my life. The Lord has highlighted worship, youth, and Israel to me and currently I’m living in Kansas City, MO attending the International House Of Prayer University where I’m a full time intercessory missionary. I am studying as a student in their music academy where I’m majoring in Worship and pursuing what He has called me to. “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good!.. (Psalm 34:8 ESV) To this day I still reflect on the goodness of the LORD and grace He has given me to pursue Him wholeheartedly. I am thankful that Teen Challenge was the vessel the LORD used to deliver me from darkness. Truly if The LORD can use Teen Challenge to break the bondage of addiction in my life, He can do it for you too!
